Repossession – Credit Repair
A repossession is generally used to refer to a financial institution taking back an object that was either used as collateral, rented or leased in a transaction. The most common type of repossession is a vehicle repossession. A repossessed car or truck may report to the credit bureaus as a voluntary repossession or an involuntary repossession.
A voluntary repossession happens when a consumer turns a car back in to the auto lender rather than going through the process of a physical repossession.
An involuntary repossession happens when the lender comes to take back the car.
